Here are the new releases for March 8, 2011:
Featured New Release: R.E.M. – Collapse Into Now

The Band: Formed in 1980 in Athens, Georgia, R.E.M. have taken the Alt-Rock scene by storm ever since their inception. Buoyed by airplay on college radio, their 1983 debut album Murmur was met with critical acclaim, launching the band to become one of the forerunners of Alt-Rock before the genre hit it’s stride in the 90s. In 2007 they were inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame. They’re best known for songs like “Losing my Religion” and “It’s the End of the World As We Know It (And I feel fine)”.
The Album:
R.E.M.’s first album since Accelerate in 2008, Collapse Into Now is the band’s fifteenth album. It features guest artists like Eddie Vedder, Patti Smith, Peaches, Lenny Kaye, and Joel Gibb.
